A little more of the park
Along Avenida Costera Miguel Alemán and in the heart of the city, Parque Papagayo is a true green lung for Acapulco. Covering an area of 22 hectares, you will discover three artificial lakes surrounded by tropical vegetation, home to some exotic animals in captivity.
This park, also known as Parque Ignacio Manuel Altamirano, is very popular with families and young people who will find sports fields, a skating rink, attractions for the little ones, an open-air theater, a library, an aquarium, bars, restaurants and a giant piñata sculpture by Mexican artist Alberto Chessal.

Why should you visit the Park?
A unique, fun and affordable way to spend a few hours exploring the traditional attractions of a natural amusement park and/or enjoying some shade while having a snack.
On one side of the park you have the Costera and the beach and on the other side you have the city where there are many shops.
You can walk or jog inside the park and then you can go for a little swim in the ocean.
Get on the iguana! Very few know that part of the park and the climbing is exhausting, but the view of the bay is excellent, and the place itself is really nice.
