Once called ‘Acapulco Tradicional‘ and now known as ‘Acapulco Náutico’, the traditional area, also called Old Acapulco district is a particularly historic part of the city and full of character.

Located on the west side of the city, many of the main attractions are within the Acapulco Traditional Zone, such as La Roqueta Island and its small zoo, the white Byzantine-style cathedral, the La Quebrada cliff diving shows and the beaches of Caleta, Caletilla, Hornitos, Hornos, La Angosta, Manzanillo, Tamarindos and Tlacopanocha.
