During your visit to the Naval Museum of Acapulco you will be able to find models and replicas of ships from the colonial era, in addition to having a library where you can see documents, books and plans of the ships, so you can immerse yourself in all the maritime history for which it has past the port over time.
Right there you will find a naval modeling workshop where you can learn about the construction of a galleon, a large boat propelled by sail and oar that was used between the 15th and 17th centuries for transport between Spain and America.
Some of the pieces that you will find on display in the rooms have been created by the museum team and others were donated for knowledge and dissemination of the history of the port to all visitors.
